#RoadRights Situation 14 – Signaling at forked intersections

Drivers should always use their turn signals to indicate any movement that involves a change, whether changing lanes, merging lanes, right and left turns, and in the case which direction they intend to take at a Y. Regardless of which direction they plan to take at the Y drivers should use their turn signals. Turn signals are a few ways drivers have to communicate with others on the road about what they intend to do. Communicating and being predictable is one of the best ways to prevent crashes.
