The Question:
The above picture shows a bicyclist turning right from a three-lane road onto a side street. How far in advance of the turn must the bicyclist give a hand and arm signal?
The Answer: 100 feet
A bicyclist must signal with his/her hand and arm at least 100 feet in advance of a turn. However, they are NOT required to maintain that signal continuously.
This answer is based onĀ Idaho state codeĀ 49-720 (4).
